About me
Geges Löwl – Portrait Photography
My love for photography was already ignited in my youth and has constantly accompanied me over the last decades on its path from analogue to digital – via the darkroom into Lightroom.
Originally I studied German literature and physics, then toured as a guitarist with my band and have always been interested in the evolution of humanity and everyday philosophy.
Mainly I earn my living by supporting young people as a lower secondary school teacher to become critical, questioning and responsible citizens.
Sensitive, curious, sometimes cheeky and definitely brash - that is indeed what I am. I want to portray personalities, capture characters and utilise my deep understanding of the nature of human beings: That is my photographic ambition.
I grew up in Swabian southern Germany, spent many years in Munich, have two sons and have lived in Switzerland since 2014. In addition to photography, I am passionate about the craft of brewing beer, being outdoors in nature, literature and almost any kind of music - but my favourite is jazz.
